Dreaming in Gold

>

Created from an original image titled "All that is Gold" this surreal version is one of two manipulated images that would emerge from the first "straight" shot - emphasizing the golden ice falls.   Halfway down the wall of icefalls in the Gorge along Smart's Brook in Thornton, New Hampshire, this golden colored icefall is colored by minerals in the soil that are leached from the soil as the water moves through. Only one original edition of 5 signed original prints of this image is created, signed, with a certificate of authenticity. The image is printed on 100% cotton rag fine art paper with archival inks. This image is available as a signed original or an affordable, unsigned open-edition print, as well as a fine art poster.

Signed originals are considered valued works of art because of the artist’s signature and the edition number indicating the rarity. For that reason they are created in limited numbers or a single original. Signed art prints are created on museum-quality rag fine art paper or canvas or metal. Open-edition prints bear no signature or may have a digital stamp. They are a very affordable alternative for people who simply love the work and can be purchased on various grades of paper and sizes to reflect your cost constraints. Their value is purely personal for people who love art and want to display an image.

Wayne’s images are a celebration of life, blending the real and the surreal to achieve a sense of place or time that reaches beyond the moment into what he calls a "dreamlike quintessentialism" designed to spark an emotional response. Using digital enhancement, handcrafting, painting, and sometimes even straight photography, King seeks to take the viewer to a place that is beyond simple truth to where truth meets passion, hope and dreams.
