Printed on fine art rag paper with archival inks

In the wake of a February snowstorm a snowy trail winds its way to a handsome birch tree at the base of Rattlesnake Mountain in the Asquamchumauke River (Baker) Valley. This image is a mixed media montage containing elements of both photography and watercolor painting. The base image is painted and scanned for output in a high resolution signed print with archival inks. A limited edition of 25 signed prints are created.

This image is available as a signed original or an affordable unsigned open-edition print. Signed originals are considered valued works of art because of the artist’s signature and the edition number indicating the rarity. For that reason they are created in limited numbers or a single original. They are printed on museum-quality rag fine art paper or canvas or metal. Open-edition prints bear no signature or may have a digital stamp. They are a very affordable alternative for people who simply love the work and can be purchased on various grades of paper and sizes to reflect your cost constraints. Their value is purely personal for people who love art and want to display an image.

Wayne D. King’s images are a celebration of life, blending the real and the surreal to achieve a sense of place or time that reaches beyond the moment into a dreamlike quintessentialism designed to spark an emotional response. Using digital enhancement, handcrafting, painting, and sometimes even straight photography, King seeks to take the viewer to a place that is beyond simple truth to where truth meets passion, hope and dreams.
