Winter in the Skatepark No 1

The white of winter snow contrasts starkly with the colorful grafitti drawn by the students who helped build this skatepark in Plymouth, NH. 25 signed original prints are made of this image after which a digitally initialed open edition is also created.

My images often combine elements of photography, watercolor painting and digital craftsmanship. The final images are produced as signed, limited-edition prints on museum-quality fine art rag paper, printed with archival inks.

Wayne’s images are a celebration of life, blending the real and the surreal to achieve a sense of place or time that reaches beyond the moment into what he calls a "dreamlike quintessentialism" designed to spark an emotional response. Using digital enhancement, handcrafting, painting, and sometimes even straight photography, King seeks to take the viewer to a place that is beyond simple truth to where truth meets passion, hope and dreams.
