Ghost Dance

Male nude in motion, handpainted, scanned for output using archival inks. Black and white image, hand-painted, One original image was created to make this piece from which a limited edition of 10 live signed, numbered prints with a certificate of authenticity was created. The original image was then archived digitally and the print itself was destroyed to assure and enhance the value of the limited edition prints. Selected for 2016 "Focus on Figures" show North River Arts Gallery, Marshfield, MA. Selected for a judges special recognition award in the 10th Annual Figurative International Competition by the Light, Space and Time Gallery of Maryland.  This image is available as a signed original or an affordable unsigned open-edition print. Signed originals are considered valued works of art because of the artist’s signature and the edition number indicating the rarity. For that reason they are created in limited numbers or a single original. They are printed on museum-quality rag fine art paper or canvas or metal. Open-edition prints bear no signature or may have a digital stamp. They are a very affordable alternative for people who simply love the work and can be purchased on various grades of paper and sizes to reflect your cost constraints. Their value is purely personal for people who love art and want to display an image.
